I have been reading Seth books for about a year now, and have yet to meet someone who is also a Seth fan. I have spent many hours trying to explain some of the Seth world, but it is hard to do so. I am thankful to find a tribe of people who I can share things with without feeling like people are thinking Im whacked. I want to share an experience I had in my dreamworld. One of Seth's reccomendations is to practice working with the dreamworld by realizing we are in complete control of our dreams. Sounds great, but i always find myself waking up AFTER the dream and wishing I had remembered that DURING the dream. Well, one night it worked. In the middle of a dream, I realized I was dreaming and remembered to practice what Seth had suggested. I held out my hand, fully concious, and told myself to envision and apple appearing in my hand. I was concentrating very hard, and slowly and apple appeared. I was so excited, still dreaming, and tried out another visualization. It took a while, maybe 30 to 60 seconds, it seemed like, but I was able to do it. Then I think I got so excited that I woke myself up. I haven't done it since, but am waiting to remember in a future dream. Anyone else have a similar experience????

Re: on practicing the exercises
Fri, November 24, 2006 - 11:29 AMI too feel like there are no other people in my immediate sphere whom I can disccuss Sethian principles with. I have tried offering the books to people, but they rarely read them.
I have not had any experience with actually practicing an exercise in a dream, however, I often feel like I am on one of "OverSoul Seven's" adventures in my dreams. Sounds like you have broken though to the other side. I would say keep at it and post here if something extrordinary happens.
I had one dream where I was sure I had reached Sumari. The dream was incredibly clear and even though I did not feel like I was controlling the dream I had a good sense of what was going to happen next. Or better yet, why something happened. For instance in the dream I looked down and saw a caterpillar. I recognized the caterpiller as the alternate form of a friend I know in this world. As soon as I made that realization, the caterpillar changed form into my friend and to their dissmay had been discoverd and ran off.

Re: on practicing the exercises
Thu, April 26, 2007 - 9:46 PMI remeber being in that dream that is recounted somewhere in Conversation with Seth where they had a party with a blue Seth on top of New-York buildings.
I just met that blue jovial character and then later read about the dream that had happened way before I experimented it in my time span.
It was a party in the vast present.
